Jampacked Weekend

I always get excited whenever weekend comes, especially now that I’ve found my soulmates/buddies that have same enthusiasm and energy in trying new things. Whatever or wherever it may be! 😀

Right after our friday shift ended, so that’s already Saturday morning, just out of the blue, my team was craving for seafood. And when you say seafood, Dampa is definitely the place to be! The place is just so affordable and big, with so many choices and it can accommodate a whole team or clan! Really suitable for any event. I know that at some point in your teambuildings/celebrations, you got your cravings satisfied here.

So you know the drill. Once you arrive here, choose a resto where you want to dine. We chosed HongKong Lion, the place have private/airconditioned rooms with free 2hrs videoke. Since we’d be busy devouring our food, we opted to watch a movie over singing our lungs out. Once you’re settled, then it’s time to visit the market and search for the freshest catch you can find. Don’t forget to haggle! After that just give instructions to the resto how’d you want them to be cooked. See madali lang! 🙂

Before

After

Result: Happy, Satisfied People!

And if you think that my day’s already over even if I’ve still got no sleep. Well, well, well, sayang ang weekend! After having sumptous breakfast with my teammates, I headed to Glorietta to watch a movie with my lunch/gala buddies. And btw highway, I saw in Play&Display these plastic chairs with beautiful carvings! They come on different bright colors and I can’t decide what color I like to buy.
LOL I’d really buy one once we’re settled in our new house! Lurve it!!!

Finally, was able to go home at around 6pm. Absolutely, knockout sa pagod at antok! 🙂

Come Sunday, as usual, ang makakating paa hindi pa rin mapigil. Even if it’s already late, we’ve decided to go to Cloud9, located all the way to Antipolo. The heat in Manila is just so unbearable that we were craving for a cooler place. Even if no one actually knows exactly how to go there, go lang! We originally wanted to go to Crescent Moon Cafe, but no one was answering their line, we’re not sure if reservation is needed.

Going to Cloud9, good thing that meet up was in Megamall and there’s terminal there for FXs going to Antipolo. The gentleman in front of the queue was kind enough to give us instructions on how to find the place. From Our Lady of Peace & Good Voyage (which we also had a chance to catch a mass), you just have to ride a jeepney going to Cubao, it will pass by Cloud9. Yakang yaka lang!

The out-of-nowhere, spur-of-the-moment trip was well worth it. The view was breathtaking! Too bad we’ve got no decent camera since this trip wasn’t really planned at all. All pictures were taken, as usual, with iP4. Two thumbs up also for the food. How relaxing to just stare at the city lights of the Metro Manila, while being serenaded also.

There was also this stall that serves Morrocan dishes. It’s quite heavy on the spices but delicious.
We tried their Mini B’stilla and Chicken Saffron Tagine 🙂

Nice start for the weekend.

Rue Bourbon Bar & Resto

We’ve been really eyeing to check out this place eversince I saw this featured on one of the lifestyle shows. I got curious about that caramel beer. I’m not really into beer drinking, but hearing there’s a caramel flavored one, is enough to make me want to try! If you want a cozy place to hangout that’s with good food then Rue Bourbon is the right place. Located in the heart of Makati, less hassle in commuting plus less crowded, the more I like it.

Sweet! We’ve got complimentary drinks! Must be because we’re quite a happy bunch or because our bill was more than 3k! LOL! 😀

Hmmm, the caramel beer tastes like caramel, LOL, at first sip but afterwards the natural bitter taste of beer comes in. Eeeww, I really don’t like beer, even if it’s caramel flavored! Hahaha!

Spaghetti Factory

After searching for that “one camera” for me, we opted to dine at Spaghetti Factory. I was craving for some pasta that’s a bit sour and spicy! I don’t know why, basta I just want something that’s strong and will give a little “kick” in my palate! 🙂

Banapple x Mama Mia Tix

I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about Banapple, I saw this once featured in UKG and was actually impressed how sumptous their servings were! Also, my bestfriend just keeps on bragging me that we have lunch here. You see, we live in Manila and the nearest branch from us is in Ayala Triangle and not to mention that me and my bestfriend have different timezones! LOL! I mean different work scheds. He has regular working hours while my work starts when he’s finally tucked in bed! By the time I go to work, the branch in Ayala is already closed 😦

Okay, so in this rare occassion that I went out of the office so late and he had to take a leave to have his check up, our scheds met… and voila! Banapple it is for lunch, with Gracie (my bestfriend’s GF) 🙂

Like what I’ve said, the servings were so sumptious that we shared everything. All were delicious that I really really want to go back again to taste the rest of their menu! Hihihi! Proof that this resto is a certified hit, there were so many, and I mean many yuppies that patiently queues and waits even in the heat of the sun! 🙂

20120128-183854.jpg

After this fun lunch, I made sure we’d drop by in NBS in Glorietta5 to finally buy my Mama Mia tickets!!! Okay, for scheds, search on Ticketworld, because some newapapers say it only runs from January 24 to February 12. Actually, it is now until the 19th. I’m watching on the 18th, with my two college classmates! 🙂

Can’t wait to watch! 🙂

Kitchen Rendezvous

Finally, had the chance to meet up with Adam! We’ve been planning this since last week. Glad he was able to squeeze us in his hectic schedule before he flies back to K.S.A and to the arms of his “Hani!” It’s been a long time since I last saw him, and his presence just brings good vibes and lots of laughs! Our conversations were filled with “Wows” “As in?!” and “My gosh!” Kasi naman, all his kwentos were so funny and kalerks! Haha, some were censored, so I won’t share anymore at baka masabunutan pa nya ako! LOL 🙂

Meet up was in Kitchen, Greenbelt 3. In old-fashioned way, we’re all late! Muntik na mag-tantrums si Adam! Present was only me, Lors and Leigh, which was understandable ‘coz it’s a weekday and it was just with a short notice.

Afterwards, I had to rush back to go to work… My day, hmmm… my night, is just starting! 🙂

Toodles!
