Residencia de Riego

This little haven is tucked in Alitagtag, Batangas. Close to 2-hours if you are to commute from Makati, which what we did due to change of plans. Actually, this weekend get-away was for Cash Team’s teambuilding and I was just a last minute addition (saling ketket)! LOL! They’ve asked me if I want to join, and since I’ve got nothing to do anyway, why waste this opportunity? Plus contribution’s just less than Php500.00 only! (Okay, most likely you are wondering why the contribution’s so cheap. Well it was because they were able to get a deal from this online marketing that gave almost 70% off on entrance, overnight accommodation plus breakfast. The deal’s good for 16 pax). Actually, we went here last year in November and still have plans going back this year.

I can say, the 2-hour commute was worth the travel for we really enjoyed our stay! (Honestly, I enjoyed this trip more than my own team’s teambuilding… sshhhh!) I’m impressed with their place and service, the staffs were all friendly. The amenities were well-maintained. They’ve got 2 adult pools and 1 kiddie pool. I loooove their pool at night! Who wouldn’t love it when it changes color?! 🙂 Also, they have live band performing at night on weekends, so it was really perfect for that much needed R & R!

Located in Sitio Libis, Muzon II, Alitagtag, Batangas

Rooms are available for overnight stays (Supreme, Deluxe, Econo)

You can enjoy free videoke and play dart for 1-hr, you simply just have to reserve.

Kubo Villas available for day stays only. Shower rooms were candidly named Bianca and David.

How cool can this be?! 12-Color Logic Lights Rain-flow Type Swimming Pools (2-adult pools, 1 kiddie pool)

Breakfast already included in their package. Their kapeng barako is THE BEST!

with cash team peeps

And also, you have to try their Kare-Kare and Bulalo! 🙂

Going home, the bus ride only took 1-hr because it passed by the highway. Sorry, I don’t remember anymore the specifics of our commute, since I just go with the flow! LOL! Okay and some things you might want to take note if you’d also like to visit this resort:

> There’s a market located on the tricycle station, you might want to buy there all your stuff like meat, so you can also enjoy the bonding moment in the grilling station, haha! Plus, you can save on your food expenses. I remember there’s no corkage fee if you are to bring any drinks. For your rice, you can opt to just order in their restaurant, they accommodate orders until 11pm. You can also borrow utensils/knives, you just have to leave one ID.
> Their videoke is only available until 10pm, not sure if same thing applies for their dart and billiards.
> There’s no towel provided, if you don’t like to shell out Php70.00-100.00, then bring your own.
> Be careful most especially on the jeepney station, the drivers have very bad temper!

Banapple x Mama Mia Tix

I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about Banapple, I saw this once featured in UKG and was actually impressed how sumptous their servings were! Also, my bestfriend just keeps on bragging me that we have lunch here. You see, we live in Manila and the nearest branch from us is in Ayala Triangle and not to mention that me and my bestfriend have different timezones! LOL! I mean different work scheds. He has regular working hours while my work starts when he’s finally tucked in bed! By the time I go to work, the branch in Ayala is already closed 😦

Okay, so in this rare occassion that I went out of the office so late and he had to take a leave to have his check up, our scheds met… and voila! Banapple it is for lunch, with Gracie (my bestfriend’s GF) 🙂

Like what I’ve said, the servings were so sumptious that we shared everything. All were delicious that I really really want to go back again to taste the rest of their menu! Hihihi! Proof that this resto is a certified hit, there were so many, and I mean many yuppies that patiently queues and waits even in the heat of the sun! 🙂

After this fun lunch, I made sure we’d drop by in NBS in Glorietta5 to finally buy my Mama Mia tickets!!! Okay, for scheds, search on Ticketworld, because some newapapers say it only runs from January 24 to February 12. Actually, it is now until the 19th. I’m watching on the 18th, with my two college classmates! 🙂

Two Things…

That stressed me today on my 2nd year…

Case in point one. Why do people have so much LUCK even if they DO in fact, LACK the capability? Okay, so you’ve got connections that’s why you are here. But BIATCH, do your part, be useful and learn the business! There are people out there more capable of you, worthier to be in your place and I just canimagine how life would be sooo much easier if they are now in your f*cking place… How I wish the old admin is still here… Though it was like we were walking in a very thin glass, at least everything works in order. You are being pushed to strive harder, you get to be more competitive. There’s no space for being mediocre, no waste of time. Too much of anything is bad. Too much freedom given gets exploited in the end. I just pity those that’s forced to adjust and carry the extra load due to this INCAPABLE people. I know I shouldn’t be stressing myself about this, for this kind of unfair advantage had been going on even before I existed. But man, when it is all over the place, you just can’t help but feel… demoralized… especially when you are doing your best. I’m not saying I’m the perfect employee. But I do pride myself that I didn’t need anyone’s position or power just to get me where I am now. I worked hard to stay where I am. I learned the hard way, but I’m not bitter about that because that’s the key player why I value my work. If I brag about what I’ve been through, that’s because I’m proud of myself and not to blame anyone or wish for anyone to go through the same path. But using your connections to get in and STILL using your connections to ease yourself of responsibilities, that’s plain madness and U-N-F-A-I-R (in all its capital glory!). I know many can relate to what I feel… you don’t have to say it out loud, for it will just vanish in thin air, unrecognized, just like this post.

***Sigh*** Bear with me, I just can’t help it but express what’s going on my mind today…

Case in point two. Need I say more?

I guess, the cycle never stops… Happy Two Years to me… 🙂

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

I was born on year of the Pig, 1983. And based on what I’ve heard so far, the year of the water dragon will be a very good year for me, especially in terms of buying a house! Yey! Very good, I need that since yes, I just bought a house:) Well, I don’t really on feng shui, but then there’s no harm in knowing what’s my luck status for this 2012! 🙂

PIG

“Although the animal leads a happy charmed life, it does not end well. They are slaughtered for our eating pleasure. The person born in the Year of the Pig often makes sacrifices for the benefit of others according to Chinese astrology. For example, they will give up their seat on a bus for other people. They tend to happily serve other people and tend to their needs. They are quite optimistic people because while they are serving others, they think everything will be okay in the end. The pig is a naïve animal really. It is quite happy living on scraps and rolling in the mud thinking it would last forever. Thus, the person born under this Chinese Zodiac sign may be lucky but they also can be quite naïve. They can be easily led by others. So be careful in 2012!
Pigs love to fool around. Just look how they live – playing in the mud when they are not eating.
People born under this Chinese Zodiac Calendar sign love to muck around – doing silly things like throwing things at each other.
But it is all good natured fun and pigs make good friends because they are so loyal.”

***And I couldn’t agree more!***

Kitchen Rendezvous

Finally, had the chance to meet up with Adam! We’ve been planning this since last week. Glad he was able to squeeze us in his hectic schedule before he flies back to K.S.A and to the arms of his “Hani!” It’s been a long time since I last saw him, and his presence just brings good vibes and lots of laughs! Our conversations were filled with “Wows” “As in?!” and “My gosh!” Kasi naman, all his kwentos were so funny and kalerks! Haha, some were censored, so I won’t share anymore at baka masabunutan pa nya ako! LOL 🙂

Meet up was in Kitchen, Greenbelt 3. In old-fashioned way, we’re all late! Muntik na mag-tantrums si Adam! Present was only me, Lors and Leigh, which was understandable ‘coz it’s a weekday and it was just with a short notice.

Afterwards, I had to rush back to go to work… My day, hmmm… my night, is just starting! 🙂

Toodles!

Reminder For Me

Lately, I’ve been feeling a negative energy surrounding me… I know where it is coming from and I am to blame because I refuse to say something to make it stop. But then I realized, THE CHOICE IS ALWAYS MINE. Either I let myself go down with them or refuse to sink!
